WHAT IS SAAPP?

Angels In Progress Academy utilizes the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) as a guide for teaching.  Students that excel beyond GPS should continue to be challenged in both academic and social standards. The Soaring Angels Advanced Placement Program (SAAPP) aims to assist students in critical thinking development with analytical focus, resulting in increased writing and comprehension skills. SAAP students will debate and solve problems both collectively and individually. 

Program Qualifications:

  • SAAPP participants are selected through academic faculty nominations only.

  • SAAPP is for middle school students grades 6th-8th.

  • A 3.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required prior to entry and must be maintained throughout enrollment.

  • SAAP students must demonstrate moral character and maturity.

  • SAAP students must maintain a positive attendance record (no more than 4 missed days in an academic year).

 

Curriculum Components:

  • Advanced Math​

  • Advanced ELA

  • Advanced Writing

Additional Fees:

  • There is no fee for SAAPP enrollment

  • Complimentary materials may incur additional cost (ex. online programs, trips, etc.)
